The Directorate of Information Technology (IT) at Baba Guru Nanak University (BGNU) is responsible for the university’s IT infrastructure, networking, software systems, and digital services. It supports teaching, research, and administration by providing reliable technology solutions and ensuring secure, efficient use of information systems across the campus.
The Directorate manages the university network, internet connectivity, servers, and data centres; supports enterprise systems such as ERP and Learning Management Systems (LMS); maintains cybersecurity and data backup; and provides help desk and technical support to faculty, staff, and students. It also oversees the university website, portal, and other digital platforms.
